He was born September 24, 1949 to a humble family in Calzada de Calatrava of Ciudad Real, a province of Castile-La Mancha in the administrative district of Almagro. Since making his first commercial film in the 1980s, he has written, directed, acted and produced nearly 30 films. His films are centred around relationships that occur around improbable circumstances and are accompanied by melodrama and high camp.

He was born on February 10, 1950 in California. He holds the record for most gold medals won in a single Olympic Games (seven), which he set at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany (his 7th was won on September 4. In 1973 and 1974, he was booked for appearances on The Tonight Show, The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour and The Dean Martin Show, among others, but clearly uncomfortable, quickly ended his foray into show business. In 2005, he was chosen to be the flag bearer for the US Delegation to the 17th Maccabiah Games.

Born on August 2, 1961, he is a Beijing-based musician, songwriter, trumpet player, guitarist and composer. He is considered to be a pioneer in Chinese rock music and the first Chinese artist to break away from conventional Chinese popular forms and incorporate a Western rock style into his songs. He reached the apogee of his popularity during the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, when "Nothing to My Name" became an anthem to student protestors.

He is a professional sculptor living in Laval, Quebec, Canada. He's doing a lot of wood sculpture, but also bronze. Native of Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, he is now living in Laval. In June 1994, he won first prize for his sculpture ‘Vent Chaud’ at the International Sculpture Competition in Davenport, Iowa, and second prize for his work ‘La Caresse’. His sculptures are to be found in both private and public collections in many countries, including Japan, U.S.A., and Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
